I think it is safe to say that we all have a little spiritual gangster in us. Even if you aren't a die hard yogi, there's no reason you can't dress like one and embrace a bit of peace in your life! Holiday Cheer

I typically don't decorate my house for the holiday until December. I am very busy (which is a good thing) with work but am determined to get all my shopping, wrapping and decorating finished early this year. (I already ordered and received my cards)! Gift Guides 2017 - Shop Small Saturday

Hello, hello! I spent the morning cleaning my house. (thanks for the help, Matty) Hosting the holidays is fun, the clean up? Not so much. The up side is, my house is all ready for my Christmas decorations!! I also plan to shop small today and support local business.

Well hello, hello! I've been crazy busy with work, which is a good thing. When I'm busy that only means I have been dreaming up inspiration to share with you too! I'm posting my latest loves today....

1. Velvet, velvet and more velvet. In fact, I am wearing the most comfy velvet pants now! These are a dream. I paired them with a cute denim shirt and sneakers. J. Crew is having 40% off their entire site. 
2. I've been designing a neutral palette for a gorgeous home all week. I often work in color but the architecture is so beautiful that mixing gorgeous textiles and fabrics in shades of grey, blue, tan, and camel and white felt right! I of course added a pop of color in the media room! 
3. A Janet Hill print would make the perfect gift for your design savvy friends, choosing the right one is the tricky part! (they are all amazing)
4. This jumper is stunning for a holiday party. The back bow is fabulous. Shopbop is having a buy more save more sale!!
5. The Chalkboard magazine shared some beautiful natural decor Thanksgiving tips for your holiday table. After I publish this post, I'm off to the florist to choose my table top flowers!

Cottage Love #60 - Lulu Dk's home

I was searching for art last weekend for a client. (a favorite thing to do) and I popped over to Lulu Dk's site. I've long admired her bohemian style and ability to mix textiles, colors and objects fearlessly. We've all seen her charming home over the years but today I'm sharing her home tour from a while back with OKL. She shares her home with her husband and three sons.

Love the look - Thanksgiving day

Thanksgiving seems to (well really Halloween) kick off the excuse to indulge in lots of goodies! As I mentioned, I am hosting this year. I need to look cute but still be comfortable. As we all know, the amount of running around entertaining entails. This year, I am opting for a pretty light blouse, leather pants with a little elastic in the waste (god I sound old) waste of course, and flats. I've created two looks, one is a bit more casual and less expensive than the other. Now I just need to make sure that I don't accidentally dip my sleeves in the gravy. I don't know about you, but I love this time of year and tend to splurge! (a little too much maybe)...Olivia always looks perfect, doesn't she?

Setting the table - Thanksgiving

As I may have mentioned, I am hosting Thanksgiving this year! I'm excited about this because I really enjoy cooking, entertaining and decorating for the holiday season. I spent some time this morning planning and pulling together my table setting ideas. I'm a firm believer in layering tablescapes. Above is a peek at the beginning of my design. I always use freshly cut flowers and lots of candles.
