Love the look - Graduation Party

Graduation season often brings an array of celebrations! Here's the perfect look for almost any summer grad party.

Congratulations to the graduates in your life! (or if you are graduate) Cheers! If it's an "of age" grad, I also show up with a bottle of bubbles!

Curb appeal - Classic style

I am working on a whole lot of great interior design projects but at home I am turning my attention outdoors this weekend. My small veggie garden is planted so next up is beautifying my entryway. I love a clean, classic feel with modern appeal. Here are some inspiration photos and my board for a "classic style entry".

A favorite!!!

*  Believe it or not, I found my asian planters at Ocean State job lot this year!!

** I am planting pink zinnia's or something similar in the asian style planters and hydrangeas in the zinc planters.

Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale - Shelter picks

There are a ton of sales this weekend, one of the biggest being Nordstrom's half yearly! I've rounded up my favorite finds and most are 30-50% off! Happy Shopping, enjoy the long Memorial weekend that usually kicks off the warm weather season. Thinking of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Cottage Love - #68

I've long been a fan of Laura Resen's photography. Her cozy, rambling ranch located in the hills of Sonoma County is a beautifully curated collection of gorgeous neutrals, textiles and found objects. Her mix of mid century furniture and style vignette's are also fabulous.
It’s important that I arrange things so that there’s a dynamic quality to them—I don’t want anything to disappear. - Laura Resen

Crushing!

Down time is something we all NEED! I have not had enough lately and to top it off my brain is working overtime at 2 a.m.! I am thrilled to have a second to sit and blog tonight. It's something I usually love to start my day with but I've had a number of early morning meetings instead. (no complaints - I do LOVE my career) but blogging keeps me grounded, as does exercise. I needed some bohemian influence this week for a project so I decided to hop over to one of my favorite insta sites - Rebecca de Ravenel.  I live by the beach so I am ADORING her latest earring collection and ready to wear collection. Hell, I basically love everything else she designs, wears and resides in!! Take a peek - Follow Rebecca on instagram: here

Love the look - Jumpsuits

With graduation and summer kick off parties on the horizon, I'm going to mix it up and switch out some of my staple dresses for a Springy jumpsuit or two! Not every jumpsuit is created equal and some are more flattering than others, with that said, these two are feminine and flirty! (one even has pockets, eek)

Living in London

This week has been bananas but I can't let it pass without posting a little London love in honor of the upcoming royal wedding. Maybe you are over the chatter but I think it is dreamy escapism at its best.

De Gournay heiress Hannah Cecil Gurney's home.

I came across Ben Pentreath's work, this home in London is filled with beautiful attention to detail a gorgeous color palette.

Shelter Loves

Good Morning! I'm just back from NYC, I have some "life" catching up to do today! We did not let the rain ruin our Mother's Day trip. We altered our plans a bit but snuck in a Broadway show, School of Rock and some sight seeing! Here is what I'm loving this week. I have a number of exciting projects going on and am always brainstorming and taking in inspiration....Wishing you a fabulous week!

1. This chair!!! Does anyone know the source? I have the perfect client for it.
2.  I used to wear scarves around my neck in a very chic way! I still have quite a collection and when my grandmother passed away, I was happy to inherit some of hers. I'm thinking I may try out the wrist wrap with a smaller one. Here is a good size
3. I'm planning to plant a hosta garden in the shady spots of my yard! I need a game plan soon.
4. We all get into un-comfy situations!! Perspective is everything.
5. The shopping and fashion in Manhattan is INSANE. I need to head back with a posse of girl friends.
6. The art deco inspired architecture. We stayed next to the Chrysler building. Image by: Herni Silberman.
7. A camel bag for Spring and Summer. This one is a classic
