Love the look - sweater weather
I'm not going to ruminate about the weather today but I will say this: sweater weather has arrived! (along with my heating bill) Every Fall, I usually go through my closet and donate my older worn looking sweaters. I like to own a mix of comfortable but flattering looks! Here's a round up of some great ones out there this season. #1, #3 and #5 are all on sale! #6 and this entire photoshoot with Tuckernuck is adorable. Cheers to you and a cozy Fall season.

A dreamy Brooklyn brownstone
I am currently enthralled with two amazing kitchens that I have been creating. One, is at the tail end and the other, in the beginning stages. They are both going to be quite different but the aesthetics are equally gorgeous. I always love to come across an inspiring home that I have not seen in the print or digital world yet. Lifestyle blogger and entertainer, Athena Calderone's recently completed brownstone is in this month's Architectural Digest. The KITCHEN is pretty close to perfection and what I would design for myself if I were starting from scratch. (I am currently loving contrast and a mix of black and white) The home she shares with her husband and son, is equal parts chic and welcoming. Here is a peek at her brownstone and lovely blog, EyeSwoon. Enjoy, I hope your week is off to a great start! xx

Shelter Loves
Happy Friday! I'll be celebrating my birthday this weekend! When I was younger, I would feel discouraged (which is insane, because looking back I was a baby!) about turning another year older. Clearly, age brings wisdom. I am now always thankful for another year of health, happiness and prosperity. There isn't much we can do to slow down father time. On a career note, I am wrapping up two projects and am in the beginning stages of a few more. I love how design constantly evolves, no two weeks are ever the same. Finally, my thoughts are with everyone impacted by hurricane Michael, it seems this storm snuck up on the Panhandle. Stay strong and safe. ๐Here is what has been on my mind....
1. I adore classic neutrals in the Fall: camel, cream tan and black all work for me.
2. I have been really into TED talks lately, I listen to them while driving to client appointments. I listened to Amy Cuddy's talk to today on how body language shapes who you are. Listen here. She summed up her talk, with this quote! It is a good one.
3. This is my favorite new favorite face product by Beautycounter.. I am kind of obsessed with having smooth, clear skin.
4. I know Brass counter tops are not all that practical, but they do look killer in Jenna Lyon's home.
5. This bralette looks ridiculously cute on, layer it under sweaters for a feminine look.
6. I wear glasses to drive, I am choosing a new pair this weekend and am going to give Warby Parker glasses a shot! I like the oversized tortoise style.

Love the look
I have been spotting metallics everywhere. My eight year old daughter especially approves! A little shimmer is perfect for the upcoming holiday season. I especially love metallic clutches and sneakers! Happy Wednesday.

Fall Inspiration
With the arrival of October, I am settling into the idea of Fall. I'm heading to Vermont for the long weekend and plan to decorate my front entry when I get home. We usually do the warm and fuzzy predictable things when we are there, I am looking forward to pumpkin patch visits, leaf peeping and apple picking! I am sure I will sneak in a yummy meal or two along with a pumpkin beer. (yes, I drink them with the sugar rim). Today I am sharing both inside and entry fall inspired decor ideas. Enjoy and happy Thursday. xx

Shelter Loves
I am waiting for life to slow down a bit, are you?? Last week was very strange. It seems one bizarre thing happened after the next. I also did not have five minutes to sit and blog,,,, so here I am with last Friday's goodies. I'll be back tomorrow to share beautiful fall inspired ideas. I have a number of projects happening and each client has an entirely different aesthetics - this keeps me on my toes but it also inspires me to look at design and life from various perspectives. (something we all need to do lately) Here are this week's loves.....
1. Clean and detailed design stories. This closet and those doors are perfection.
2. Street style from fashion week in Paris is hands down my favorite!! The Parisians know how to mix classic colors and fashion with forward details. P.S. I am seeing a lot of camel and cream for the Fall and Spring. These two are ๐!
3. Please, do.
4. I adore pretty much anything that looks this carefree but flawless. I am drawn to the "perfectly, imperfect"
5. Wasabi taped pumpkins
6. I ordered this desk to use as a dressing table in a client's Master bedroom. I'm excited to see this project come together.
7. Matelasse pattern on bags - Gucci greatness right here.

Sally King Benedict's home and artwork
I am drawn to most ideas that touch on the world of "creative". One thing that I find fascinating is sneaking a glimpse into how other creative people live. I've long followed Sally King Benedict's artistic journey and work. If you love art, than I am sure you've heard of her too. In the past, her home was featured in both Domino and Beautiful Southern Homes magazine. I love the evolved spirit and off beat mix of materials and furniture she has collected and displayed. Sally often collaborates with other artists, including one of my favorite jewelry designers, Lizzie Fortunato. These earrings are on my must have list. Lizzie and Sally are childhood friends. Here's a peek of her home she shares with her husband and son.
